The New Jersey Division of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DDHH) which provides hearing aids for qualifying individuals with low incomes is pleased to start providing wireless mobile devices to deaf and hard of hearing residents as part of their services. As modern hearing aids are often configured to and with a mobile phone, this program will enable deaf and hard of hearing residents to access critical information, services and supports being delivered remotely through online platforms that include telehealth services, emergency information, telecommunications, and other vital communication needs.

The devices offered are:

  • Tablet – Apple iPad Wi-Fi Only
  • Tablet – Samsung Galaxy S6 Lite Wi-Fi Only
  • Smartphone – Apple iPhone XR Wi-Fi & 4G
  • Smartphone – Google Pixel 4a Wi-Fi & 4G
